APA San Francisco Announces New Director!
American Photographic Artists, San Francisco is proud to welcome Liam Clickenger (formerly known as Ken Clickenger) as their new Director.
Liam is a former board member and treasurer of the San Francisco chapter and is a founding member of APA’s Diversity Committee. An image maker himself, Liam’s photographic work typically includes cultural and environmental themes, charged with personal perspective and social commentary.
With a long history of working with diverse communities of people, he is deeply connected to pursuits of community, inclusivity, and breaking the molds of cultural norms. He draws from a multifarious background in photography, fundraising, business development, and education to bring a unique perspective to our evolving and inspired Board of Directors.
Keen to keep pushing the proverbial envelope, Liam finds himself most engaged in projects of development, analysis and strategy. He has this to say of the path ahead:
“As we continue to emerge from the tumultuous pandemic era, I’m looking forward to collaborating with friends and colleagues old and new on the Board of Directors and in our photo community to keep redefining what APA means to our members. There’s plenty of work to be done to rebuild a sense of community, bring back professional and educational value, and keep working to advance a truly inclusive and welcoming industry. I look forward to keeping the ball rolling and welcome any and all collaborations, feedback and ideas.”
